BMW Ducati Husqvarna of Atlanta June Newsletter
Hey Everyone and welcome to another exciting newsletter from the greatest (and admittedly somewhat conceited:) European Motorcycle Dealership in the east!
I intended to put this together fresh off the Wild Ducs Club's June 5th Track Day, BUT mother nature dumped enough water on the track Monday morning that we almost started loading two of every animal into the van. Biblical puns aside, the great folks over at Little Talledega Gran Prix (www.tgprace.com) hooked us up with a rain check; so we hope to be back there for the make up laps soon....that is to say with my disclaimer that Abbey and I have a baby due on July 27th - and I'm pretty sure that I'm NOT allowed to partake!
Speaking of track time, we're excited to give you the update on Nate Kern's S1000RR-fest at Roebling Road Raceway on June 16th and 17th, where Bobby, Bill and Paul will be in attendance. It is such a HUGE success that there is currently a waiting list of 17 riders. Nate's next Track Day at Roebling is in July, so if you're interested, just email KernTrackDays@gmail.com for information and signup! As always you can see information on all of Nate's classes by “liking” and then visiting his facebook page seen here:

Memorial weekend also saw another BMW Owners Club of Alabama “Chicken Rally” come and go. In addition to some of the best rally food on the planet, one lucky raffle winner took home a shiny new KLIM Latitude jacket courtesy of BMW Ducati Husqvarna Motorcycles of Atlanta and KLIM USA! We received our "thank you" card, and he coincidentally is a local Atlanta resident.
If you haven’t been setting your DVR to record this years FIM World Superbike racing you’ve been missing out on some of the most epic racing in years. BMW has taken 2 (very nearly 3) race wins in the class, and Marco Melandri sits poised to strike in 2nd place behind Max Baiggi to the current point standings! The racing has been an absolute free-for-all from the first lap to the checkers every race. The most recent race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah during Memorial Day started out with Carlos Checa winning Race 1 on his Ducati, and in place to repeat it in Race 2 (with Marco Melandri on his heels both times). However, we're not sure what happened two-thirds of the way through Race 2, but Carlos Checa spun out of the race and couldn't return; opening the door for the BMW to take the win. Be sure to check it out on Speed because to be frank...Moto GP has been a bit of a snoozer in 2012. Speaking of Ducatis, we just received four more Panigalis yesterday, leaving only three left to fulfill the 13 "presolds" that we placed. If you're tempted by the Panigali, we can put you next in queue.
Looking forward to weeks upcoming:
In an attempt to take a perfectly enjoyable hobby and make it painful, we're hoping to put together something of an Iron Butt ride tentatively dubbed “Lunch in New Orleans” come fall. What this will be is a ride from the BMW Ducati Husqvarna Motorcycles of Atlanta to new Orleans (for lunch) and back in 24 hours. All riders that complete the ride will be logged and receive an official Iron Butt certification. You can contact us at the shop, or stay tuned to this newsletter and out Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/BMW-Ducati-Husqvarna-Motorcycles-of-Atlanta/156511481038175) for details as they become available.
Also in the near future, starting Tuesday June 12th and wrapping up Saturday June 30th, the Schuberth S-2 full face helmet will be on sale for 10% off! This is the only time all year we will be authorized to sell these helmets below MSRP (seriously, the Germans might show up with sling shots
. So don’t miss your chance to save on the world’s premium full face helmet!
Well that wraps it up for this month. As always, feel free to contact us with questions about anything in this newsletter; and don’t be shy to stop in and say “hi.” Also, here is an entertaining video of some dude break dancing that has absolutely NOTHING to do with motorcycles but I got caught in the dreaded YouTubian loop the other day and stumbled across it:
Thanks for reading
